Privacy Policy
Plain terms: what this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who we are
The Humboldt Group Foundation is a nonprofit organisation based at 4000 West Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33134, United States. We are responsible for the personal data collected through this website. For anything in this policy, write to info@humboldtgroupfoundation.org or call (305) 461-2223.
What we collect
This is a static website. We do not require accounts, we do not sell anything, and we do not run advertising or advertising trackers on it.
- Contact form data. When you send us a message we receive the name, email address, subject and message text you type into the form. Nothing else.
- Direct correspondence. If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence in order to answer it.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, in order to keep the site running and secure.
Why we use it
We use the information you send us for one purpose: to answer you and to follow up on what you asked about, whether a programme, a partnership, a press enquiry or a contribution. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and third-party services
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies of its own. Two third-party services are embedded in some pages, and they may receive your IP address and set their own cookies when those pages load:
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used across the site.
- Google Maps powers the embedded map on the Contact page.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, and then no longer than our ordinary correspondence records require. Server logs are retained according to our hosting provider's standard retention period.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@humboldtgroupfoundation.org and we will respond. If you simply do not want to use the form, email or phone us instead. Both work equally well.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles personal data, we will update this page and the date shown alongside it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
